After Graduating from Berklee College of Music, I stayed in Boston to teach extensively in schools such as Berklee College of Music, The Community Music Center of Boston, The South Shore Conservatory, The Boston Arts Academy and Milton Academy.
After graduating from my masters in 2006 from Longy School of Music in Modern
American Music, I moved to New York City. I taught for two years at the Long Island
Conservatory. With 15 years experience, started my own teaching studio giving private
lessons to students of all ages and ability levels. Additionally, I have taught at many
camps, workshops and inner city programs, like the Berklee World Percussion Week,
Fidelity Future Stage, Boston Ballet City Dance and Music to my Ears.
I am a member of the Vic Firth educational team and am familiar with the NYSSMA
requirements.
As a performing artist, I have performed with many different world music artists in
venues and festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, the
Boston Symphony Hall, The Blue Note Jazz club, The Apollo Theatre, international
festivals in Lafayette and Houston etc. – Many recordings I performed on have been
nominated for and won awards.
